I am getting married!! I'm excited to be moving to a new chapter of my life and I couldn't ask for a better partner! I'm hoping to update the blog more going forward and hopefully incorporate some of the wedding planning as well. So far there isn't much to plan; we've decided for what Isaac calls the "Super Honeymoon" plan. Small wedding with a cool honeymoon. We're having to save up for this though, so we've decided on September 7 of 2012 as our big day and we'll hopefully leave early the next week for our honeymoon and be gone 2 weeks.
Right now our honeymoon plan is to fly into London and from there hit Paris and Rome before leaving back through London. I've never been to Europe and I'm beside myself with excitement when I think about our trip. We've started saving and I think we have enough for round trip airline tickets to London.
I have to admit, I was at first a little dissapointed to give up my ideas of a big wedding that I've had my whole life. However, once I started thinking about it I realized that the memories of an amazing trip with my new husband was exactly what I wanted. A wedding is one blur of a day, but the memories of our trip will stay with us forever. I am sad that we will not be able to include as many friends and family in our wedding day, but this really seemed like the best option for us and we're hoping to be able to still find ways to share this special time with our family and friends.
